What started out as a fun project to practice a more vintage-inspired sports design turned into a tribute for the reuniting of the Purple People Eaters for the inauguration of U.S. Bank Stadium. The Purple People Eaters were the defensive line of the Minnesota Vikings from the late 1960s to the late 1970s. The original members of the defensive line were Alan Page, Carl Eller, Jim Marshall, Gary Larsen, Doug Sutherland. There were only 24 authentic posters printed - all are signed by all five members.
